Mike Weir Miracle Golf Drive for Kids
Top-ranked Canadian golfer and philanthropist Mike Weir visited the Maritimes to host his annual fundraiser, the 'Mike Weir Miracle Golf Drive for Kids' on August 30-31, 2009. The fundraiser benefited the IWK Health Centre, and took place at venues including New Ashburn and Glen Arbour golf courses, and the World Trade and Convention Centre.
It was the third event of its kind - the first for Atlantic Canada. In 2007, the Mike Weir Foundation partnered with the Children's Miracle Network to create the fundraising event - aiming to make a positive difference in improving children's health across our country.
As part of the larger fundraiser, the CTV Miracle Golf Ball Drop happened on August 10, and gave three lucky winners from the Maritimes the chance to bring a friend to the exclusive event.
