Dancing For Our Stars | Zed Events

For one evening, some of Halifax’s finest business and community leaders forgot all about their stage fright and self-consciousness and showcased their moves and grooves on the dance floor, providing guests with an unforgettable evening of food, fun and fundraising, to further support the proven and successful work of Bridgeway Academy. Dancing For Our Stars was held at the Cunard Centre in Halifax on Saturday, September 24, 2011.

This inaugural event, in honour of the academy’s students – the true stars of the event –imitated the popular television show, Dancing With The Stars, with dinner and dancing being a central part of the evening. A silent auction and vote-buying, and a live auction were fundamental to the fundraising efforts. And after the incredible show, guests the dance floor to the sounds of Big Fish, a lively acoustic 5-piece band.
